my seven year old talks back at me,she has to have the last word, always complaining, interrupts other kids in the classroom, and always has something to say. Don't know what to do with her anymore.

Thank you for posting It sounds to me that your daughter is desperate to be noticed and needing lots of attention. Try climbing into her bed before school in the mornings, giving her 10 minutes of your undivided attention, telling her how much you love her and also before she goes to bed at night.Arrange dates with her where you and her go and do something fun together. Let me know if this helps. Best wishes Claire

I agree with Claire about giving her undivided attention - especially if you put it on the calendar and do it at regular intervals she can come to trust and relax into. Another thing I recommend is to read Now Discover Your Strengths. It's put out by Gallup and defines/explains all the most common strengths in people. Sounds like your dd is a communicator (which, admittedly is hard on teachers and moms when they're little :), and perhaps joining with her in finding ways to bring out the strengths in her tendencies will give you both joy and a sense of teamwork in the issue. Hope that helps! -Laurie Mom of four, Speaker, Life Coach Encouraging moms with intense challenges, who choose to thrive anyway! http://livingpower.blogspot.com
